von Holzhausen began when former car designer Vicki von Holzhausen decided to make a vegan leather that could rival animal leather.
Driven by science, Vicki researched, experimented, materially innovated and developed a sustainable leather alternative.
She tested it out. It worked! A company was born. And with a talented team of likeminded individuals, we’ve been innovating more materials and making more products ever since.
Now the company is focused on a much bigger ambition. We’re taking on the global plastic crisis by creating 100% plant-based materials for a brighter and healthier the future.
Today, we supply materials to all industries: footwear, fashion, tech furniture, airplanes and even cars — right back where it all began.
