I started collecting and regrowing my root vegetable scraps in a tray of water. They grew sprouts roots etc. way quicker than expected! I needed to get them into small planters so they could keep on growin'. I have a packed windowsill as is, so I made a shelf for my thriving little friends from a scrap piece of wood and some string! Now I have a little floating farm in my kitchen :)
