Trash Talk: Minimal Waste

Each year 2.12 billion tons of waste is dumped. If all this waste was put on trucks they would go around the world 24 times. While nothing is perfect, we take extra care in our commitment to not adding to this number. 

Through our design, production, shipping, and every other step along the way we keep our waste minimal.

 One of the many advantages of our Technik-Leather compared to a traditional leather bag is that unlike uneven or irregularly cut hides we're able to cut our bags side by side, creating minimum waste between each bag.

Before the bag even goes into production we've put a lot of thought and care into designing products that are both durable and versatile. We do not follow seasonal trends, by designing with no season in mind our products are timeless and able to be worn any season and for years to come. What's more, our material is extremely durable and specially engineered to be stain, scratch, and water resistant. Everything is made to withstand years and years of use so that your bag won't end up in a landfill.  

We also make sure keep this in mind when we ship your order. We use recycled, biodegradable, and plastic-free shipping materials and give you the option at checkout to select a used box. You can recycle the tape and box or throw everything in the compost. The tissue paper and stickers cannot be recycled in most cities but they will naturally biodegrade in the landfill.

We don't stop there either, we're constantly innovating to find ways to turn our waste into something beautiful. This is what inspired our Technik-Leather 2.0 which is made from non-virgin recycled plastic.
