Learn How We're Giving Back to Teachers with PETA
In honor of National Teacher Appreciation Month, we are excited to be part of PETA’s TeachKind Contest. TeachKind is PETA’s humane education division where former classroom teachers do an amazing job helping educators and parents promote compassion for animals. Animal rights are near and dear to our hearts here at von Holzhausen, as is compassion, and we are grateful to be contributing to this contest.
It’s been a trying year for all of us, and we can only imagine how difficult this past year has been for teachers. But in spite of all the challenges the pandemic has brought on, teachers have continued to serve their students and, perhaps this year more so than ever, teach them the value of empathy.
PETA’s annual TeachKind Contest is designed to shine a light on one very special teacher who goes above and beyond for animals while teaching. If you are a teacher with compassion for animals, you can nominate yourself. Or do you have a friend or co-worker who has really made a difference in the lives of animals and kids? You can nominate them here!
To celebrate the winner, he or she will receive a wonderful (PETA-approved, of course) collection of prizes, including our vegan leather backpack. Giving back is one of our core values and we’re happy to support our friends at PETA and celebrate one incredible person and compassion for animals. You can still nominate! The last day to enter the contest is Friday May 28.
