Our off white bags – The Shopper, The Handheld and The Mini Bucket – are some of your best accessories for summer, but they do require a little extra care.  Even though all our bags have a finish that keeps them from getting stained, here are a few tips to keep your off white bag in the best condition, and beautiful for years to come:

First of all, store your bag in the duster when you’re not using it.  (All our bags come with a protective duster.)

Be careful with certain types of clothing such as indigo jeans.  Certain fabrics may rub off on your white bag.

For regular, normal cleaning, dust your bag frequently with a clean, dry cloth.

In the event of a stain (gasp!) or if the bag is soiled, it can be damp-wiped with a soft cloth, some lukewarm water, and a little bit of very mild soap.  Do not spot-clean the leather, but clean the entire surface.  (That way you won’t get water stains or circles.)  Wipe off any excess liquid immediately with a clean sponge or cloth, and let it air dry.

For butter, oil or any type of grease stain, wipe the leather with a clean, dry cloth and let the remainder of the oil dissipate into the leather.  Do not apply water to the oil.  Do not use saddle soap, cleaning solvents, oils, furniture polish, varnishes, abrasives or detergents on leather.  They will ruin the finish and cause cracking.

Now that we’ve got all that covered (phew), and most importantly, enjoy wearing your off white bag.  Here’s to summer!
