The Broad Museum
When in need of a cultural fix, The Broad Museum is our new go-to and offers an experience for all ofthe senses. Apart from the museum's modern, porous exterior which in itself is a sight to be seen, the collection housed inside is an intriguing mix of contemporary pieces spanning from the 1950s to present day. That includes a wide selection of pop art (think Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein), playful sculptural works, and experiential installations like the much talked about Infinity Mirrored Room by Yayoi Kusama. Don't miss pieces by Cy Twombly, Jasper Johns, and Damien Hirst -- some of our personal favorites. Plus, make sure to sneak a peek at "the vault," the storage area where the remainder of Eli and Edythe Broad's approximately 2000 piece collection is housed. Word to the wise: arrive early (approximately an hour before the museum opens) to ensure the shortest wait time and access into the Infinity Room.
